Passports

From 3 August 2009

The passport service for British nationals in Barbados, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, St Lucia, St Kitts and Nevis, St Vincent and the Grenadines has now moved   from Barbados to the UK Passport Service Centre for the Americas and Caribbean in Washington D.C. (http://ukinusa.fco.gov.uk/passports)
 
If you are applying for a renewal of your UK passport or are a first time applicant and you are in Barbados, please send your application with appropriate passport fee plus return courier fee of US $21 direct to:

Please ensure you enclose the correct documentation with all passport applications including renewals, first time applicants and if you have had your passport lost or stolen. Please refer to http://ukinusa.fco.gov.uk/en/passports/ for details.
 
All the relevant passport forms can be downloaded together with new information on the application process and fees from ukinusa.fco.gov.uk. 
 
The British High Commission in Bridgetown will continue to issue Emergency Passports for people who have an urgent need to travel to the UK.
 
What this means for you?

You must:

Keep your passport in a safe place.

Check its validity. (Passports can be renewed up to 9 months before they expire. The extra time will be added on to the new passport's period of validity.)

If you do not have a full validity passport, you will need to allow extra time to obtain one.

If you are a frequent traveller, to countries requiring a visa, please enquire at the British High Commission Bridgetown about purchasing a second passport.

Calls will be handled by Careline Services. 

Calls will be charged at GBP 0.69 per minute plus VAT for the duration of the call. (Telephone service providers will also charge for the cost of the international call).
