New Passport Arrangements
From 3 August 2009 the passport service for British nationals will move from Barbados to the UK Passport Service Centre for the Americas and Caribbean in Washington.

'Better World, Better Britain’
The purpose of the British High Commission is to work to advance the UK‘s international policy goals and provide services internationally to UK citizens and businesses, both delivered through a global network. In this regard, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office has adopted four new policy goals:
- counter terrorism, weapons proliferation and their causes
- prevent and resolve conflict
- promote a low carbon, high growth global economy
- develop effective international institutions, above all the United Nations and the European Union
