The purpose of the British High Commission is to work to advance the UK‘s international policy goals and provide services internationally to UK citizens and businesses, both delivered through a global network. In this regard, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office has adopted four new policy goals:

  • counter terrorism, weapons proliferation and their causes
  • prevent and resolve conflict
  • promote a low carbon, high growth global economy
  • develop effective international institutions, above all the United Nations and the European Union
